Bringing a Noldor Kitten Home
At Noldor Cattery we raise our kittens with love and care. Our greatest wish is that their journey to a new family is not only safe, but also filled with joy
Finding the right home
We carefully choose the future families for our kittens around 8 to 10 weeks of age. By considering their personality and the environment they will grow up in, we do our best to ensure that both the kittens and their new owners will be happy together
Age of placement
Kittens leave for their new homes at a minimum age of 14 weeks. This extra time with their mother and siblings ensures proper socialisation, balance and full physical development.
Health, care and commitment
All our litters are lovingly planned to ensure health, balance and gentle temperaments. When kitten leaves us, they go home with:
- 2 core vaccinations (trivalent)
- Dewormed according to age
- Microchip
- European pet passport
- Rabies vaccination if travelling outside the Netherlands
- One month free insurance for kittens placed in NL & BE
- Official pedigree issued by ASFE/FIFe
- Parents’ results for hereditary and congenital conditions
- Samples of the dry and wet food they are used to
- 20% discount code for the first order of the food they are used to
- Some Toys
- A digital collection of photos with memories of their growth
Lifelong commitment
Our kittens are companions for life. On average, a Norwegian Forest Cat lives around 15 years or more, which means welcoming one into your home is a thoughtful, long-term decision. We trust that the families of our kittens have made this choice consciously, and that they will love them as deeply as they were loved from birth. In the rare and exceptional case that you can no longer care for your kitten, please reach out to us. Together, we will find the best solution, because once a kitten leaves our home, they remain part of our extended family forever.
Companion kittens
Kittens placed as companions must be neutered/spayed before the age of 10 months. The original pedigree will be handed over once veterinary proof of neutering is provided.
Breeding with our kittens
We are proud when one of our kittens is chosen for breeding and we love to see their offspring grow. For the wellbeing of the cats and the breed, however, we only consider placing breeding kittens with registered catteries.
The conditions for breeding kittens are always discussed individually with the new owner.
Shared care
We ask for a contribution to help cover part of the veterinary, food, registration and care expenses. This contribution is not a purchase price, but a gesture that supports the love and effort behind raising our kittens. Therefore, we reserve the right to choose the most suitable home.
